On the morning of June 17, 2025, Che Changbo, Secretary General of the China Mining Association (CMA), led a delegation to visit the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in China, holding friendly talks with Marcelo Suárez Salvia, Ambassador of Argentina to China.

Che Changbo first expressed gratitude for the warm reception by the Embassy of the Argentine Republic and introduced the details of the 2025 (27th) China Mining Conference and Exhibition, scheduled to be held in Tianjin from October 23 to 25. He noted that China and Argentina share a long history of cooperation in the mining sector, with strong complementarity and friendly relations. Having been successfully held for 26 consecutive sessions, the China Mining Conference and Exhibition has provided an excellent platform for bilateral mining cooperation. The CMA sincerely invited the Argentine Ambassador to China, the Argentine Secretary of Mining, and mining officials from various provinces of Argentina to attend this year’s Conference, participate in mining project promotion activities, and visit the mining machinery and equipment exhibition, so as to strengthen bilateral mining cooperation and advance the implementation of more specific projects. The CMA will provide high-quality services and full support to ensure that Argentine delegates can engage in all activities and achieve expected results.

Ambassador Marcelo Suárez Salvia thanked Secretary General Che Changbo and his delegation for the visit and the invitation. He stated that the Argentine Embassy in China will continue to support and attend the opening ceremony and related activities of the 2025 (27th) China Mining Conference and Exhibition. He mentioned that Chinese-made mining machinery holds a significant position in the Argentine market, trusted and favored by local entrepreneurs. The investment and operations of Chinese enterprises in Argentina have had a positive impact on promoting local economic development and community improvement, winning high praise from the governments of project locations. In recent years, the new Argentine government has promoted economic growth and business environment improvement, creating broad prospects for mining cooperation between the two countries. The Argentine Embassy in China will actively commit to promoting economic and trade cooperation between China and Argentina, mobilize domestic mining enterprises to actively participate in the Conference, and looks forward to jointly promoting the prosperity and development of bilateral mining through participating in the Conference.
