On the afternoon of July 21, 2025, Secretary-General Che Changbo of China Mining Association and his entourage paid a visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in China and held a friendly and extensive talk with Senior Counselor Berezovsky Dmitry (БЕРЕЗОВСКИЙ Дмитрий Сергеевич). The two sides exchanged views on the Belarusian delegation's participation in the 2025 (27th) China Mining Conference and Exhibition and the cooperation between Chinese and Belarusian mining enterprises in various fields.
Secretary-General Che Changbo first expressed his gratitude to the Belarusian Embassy in China for the warm reception and sincerely invited the Belarusian diplomatic envoys in China and the leaders of mining authorities such as the Belarusian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection to attend this year's China Mining Conference and Exhibition. He introduced that this year's conference mainly includes three major parts: first, mining forums focusing on the industry situation; second, an exhibition of mining engineering machinery and equipment; third, project promotion of the mining rights secondary market. At the same time, at the Counselor's proposal, he also introduced the functions and member units of China Mining Association. He emphasized that China and Belarus have established an "all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership", which has laid a solid political foundation for the two countries to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in the mining field. China Mining Association looks forward to taking this mining conference as an important opportunity to work with relevant Belarusian government departments and industry colleagues to explore and promote pragmatic cooperation in various fields such as greenization of mining development, intellectualization of mining engineering machinery, and trade and investment in mineral products, so as to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
Counselor Berezovsky Dmitry welcomed the visit of Secretary-General Che Changbo and his entourage and responded positively to the invitation to the China Mining Conference and Exhibition. He pointed out that the new Belarusian government attaches great importance to the cooperation between Belarus and China in the mining field and has clearly proposed to encourage Belarus to learn from China's advanced technologies and mature experience in the mining field. Belarus is rich in resources such as potash and peat, with broad development prospects. Belarusian enterprises look forward to in-depth cooperation with Chinese mining enterprises in multiple fields, especially in strengthening exchanges in green mining technology fields such as resource utilization of mine solid waste and carbon footprint measurement. He said that the embassy will convey the conference invitation to the domestic Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection as soon as possible, and promote department leaders and relevant enterprises to attend the activities of the mining conference. Meanwhile, to deepen pragmatic cooperation, he proposed to facilitate the connection between Chinese and Belarusian mining enterprises through various online and offline channels, and promote the organization of Chinese enterprises to conduct field visits to Belarus, so as to help cooperation projects take effect.
Relevant personnel of the Belarusian Embassy in China, Deputy Secretary-General of China Mining Association Zhao Kuitao, and relevant personnel of the International Cooperation Department attended the talk.
